Where in the ___ have you been?!?!?

Don't worry, we are indeed alive. And no, we haven't been ignoring anyone either. We have been on vacay.... at least Ryan and I have been. And the kids, well let's just say that have been in the very capable (and very exhausted) hands of Granny Stan.

She's gonna kill me, but I love this picture. Those around me know why I love it (one name, Leslie Dale. I miss her.).

Anyhow, Ryan decided that we needed to go somewhere where we have never been. Which if you are Ryan and I that is easy.... anywhere you might need a passport to travel to. So, my DH booked a cruise. And not some little, dinky thing.... a 7 night deal. You know, the kind you have to take at least 5 pairs of shoes on (incidentally, I took 6 and bought 1 there.... wore only 3 of them >:| ).

After a series of mishaps and a long (all night) drive to Miami from Atlanta, we arrived on South beach just in time to see the sunrise and our ship come in from the eastern Caribbean. I shot the picture right then. What a sight!!

I will start by telling you my favorite part of the whole trip (and Ryan is gonna kill me for this since it wasn't anything grand). The best part of each day was arriving in the room at night to find the bed turned down and a folded towel animal/thingie on the bed. I took photos of all of them.... Incredible!

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6

Our Croatian stateroom housekeeper was named Dema (pronounced dee-mah). She was so cute I wanted to take her home with me. Ryan said she wouldn't fit in our suitcase, so I couldn't. :(

Will post more pics later!!

i'm happy you got away, and i'm sad the wind destroyed your welcome back.

see, we can only afford a "dinky" 3 day cruise. On the Great Salt Lake.

Love the towels! You can find out how to fold them on the wikihow site, I think. Or in the howstuffworks site. I have both of them linked to my iGoogle and I have seen a couple of entries about how to do the monkey/chicken and the rabbit.

How fun for you. And I was wondering where you were. I'm glad to hear you were doing something exciting.

I love those towel animals. Do you think I could learn how to make a towel animal? Probably not. Sounds like you took my dream vacation.
